Ronald L. “Ronnie” Wools. Jr., age 56, of Leavenworth, Kansas, formerly of Iola, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at his home.
He was born August 30, 1963, in Iola, Kansas, the son of Ronald L. Wools and Gloria (Tindell) Burris In Iola Ks. He lived in Gas City and attended Iola High School.
Ronnie was a lifetime resident of Kansas, residing in Iola, El Dorado, Pittsburg, and Leavenworth. Ronnie married in 1985 to Diana DeWitt. They had 6 sons together. They later separated. Ronnie spent many years with Sheila Eaton whom he loved and appreciated. Ronnie enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his loved ones. He worked at Harley Davison for a few years before retiring.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Burris; and one brother, Ronald John Burris.
He is survived by his fiancé, Sheila Eaton of Leavenworth, Kansas; six sons, Joshua Wools of Girard, Kansas; Jeremiah Wools; Justin Wools; Jacob Wools; Jason Wools all of Pittsburg, Kansas; Joseph Wools of Iola, Kansas; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2019, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Iola, with burial following in the Gas City Cemetery, Gas, Kansas. The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ronnie Wools Memorial Fund to help offset expenses.
