Rose M. Parrish

Rose M. Parrish, age 69, of Richmond, Kansas, died on Sunday, September 7, 2008, at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas. She was born on June 13, 1939, at Glover Gap, West Virginia, the daughter of George A. and Nettie A. (Yost) Gump. Rose grew up in the area, graduating from high school at Mannington, West Virginia. Rose was married to Richard Parrish on June 11, 1971, at Richmond, Kansas. She was a longtime Richmond resident. Rose provided a home for foster children for many years. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Parrish on August 30, 1989; her parents; and one brother, Jimmy Gump. She is survived by one brother, Larry Gump and wife Wendy of Lake Milton, Ohio; and one sister, Judy Spears and husband Bud of Parkersburg, West Virginia. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at the Richmond Cemetery in Richmond, Kansas.
