Roy Holman

Roy Lee Holman, age 56, of LaHarpe, Kansas, formerly of Yates Center, Kansas, died Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center St. Francis Campus in Wichita. Roy was born August 16, 1952, at Independence, Kansas, the son of Elza and Doris (Robison) Holman. He grew up in the Neodesha and Yates Center areas, moving to LaHarpe two years ago from Yates Center. Roy enjoyed painting, gardening, repairing lawn mowers, story telling and lending a hand to those in need. He attended Grace Baptist Church in Iola. SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Patricia Holman of LaHarpe, KS 2 Sisters: Judy Stoll of Humboldt, KS and Connie Duncan of Ft. Scott, KS 2 Grandchildren 8 Nieces & Nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Linda Holman and two brothers, Terry and Michael Holman. Cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment will be at the Havana, Kansas Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family and may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
