Russel Scott Lampe, 48, of rural Colony, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Rusty was born August 14, 1968, in Iola, the son of Albert and M. Marlene (Westerman) Lampe. He grew up in Iola and graduated from Iola High School in 1986. On September 2, 1989, Rusty married Tina Roush. They had two sons and later divorced. He has made his home in the Iola area most of his life and has worked for Colt Energy for 25 years. Rusty enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his sons. Survivors include his two sons; Nicholas Scott Lampe & wife, Tarra of Iola, and Chase Albert Lampe & fiancé, Abby Eisenbart of Iola; 5 siblings, Jerry Lampe & wife, Debbie of Colony, Bonita Pulliam & husband, Carl, Kenny Lampe & wife, Phyllis, Rick Lampe & wife, Darlene and Randy Lampe all of Iola; 2 step-sisters, Sandy Mader & husband, Clyde of Bella Vista, AR and Sherry Rees & husband, James of Atlanta, GA, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Lampe, and his mother and step-father, Marlene and Harold "Sharpy" Sharp. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Iola. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Geneva Cemetery.
