Sandra Jane Howell

Sandra Jane Howell, age 69, of Gas, Kansas, passed away January 15, 2023, at her residence. Sandra was born December 4, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Ruby J. (Knox) Dixon.

Sandra graduated in 1968 from Arlington High School, Arlington, Texas. She earned an associate's degree in nursing in 1994 with her oldest daughter, Michelle, from Mary Grimes School of Nursing at Neosho Community College, Chanute, Kansas. She retired from nursing in 2008.

Sandra and Edgar S. Howell, III, were married December 20, 1969, in Arlington, Texas.

Sandra loved doing crafts, making wreaths, jewelry, and crocheting. She enjoyed the ocean and being on a sandy beach. She liked to go to Kansas City to eat. Sandra loved her two daughters and her bonus daughter, Stephanie, and she loved being with her grandchildren. Sandra's loved and adored Edgar. She was known for her big heart.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Edgar, of the home; daughters, Michelle Kobel, Aransas Pass, Texas, Wendy (Stephanie) Vest, Gas, Kansas; grandchildren, Timothy Howell, Dalton Hughes, Kaylee Mason, Daniella Beth, Samantha Cunningham, Christopher Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Kinley Beth, Kaiden Beth, Kameron Mason, Olivia Mason, Braylon Cunningham; and numerous relatives and friends.

A memorial service to honor Sandra's life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023, in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
