Sara F. Young

Sara Fay Young, age 100, of Kansas City, Missouri, died on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at New Mark Care Center, Kansas City. She was born February 24, 1908 at Independence, Missouri, the daughter of Gordon and Caroline L. (Simpson) Grayer. Sara married Joseph R. Young on August 4, 1929 at Burlingame, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Caroline Grayer; her husband Joseph R. Young in March 1986; her twin sister May Naylor; sisters Nellie Baker, Nema McCall, Maggie Weber, Elizabeth Peebles; and one brother, Lee Grayer.. Sara is survived by many nieces, nephews, and some very good friends. She always said no matter what you lose; never give up on your faith. She had a firm belief and a true yearning to leave and be with her family in heaven and now she is with them. Anyone who knew her was blessed. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, animals, fishing, praying and studying the Bible. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2008, at the Garnett Cemetery, Garnett, Kansas.
