Sharon Hansen

Sharon Kay Hansen, 51, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Sharon was born May 25, 1962, in North Platte, Nebraska, the daughter of James G. and Rosa A. (Cramer) Hansen. She grew up in North Platte. Sharon married Randall W. Fischer and they made their home in McCook, Nebraska until moving to Kansas in 1997. They had two children and later divorced. She worked as a chef and was a published poet. Sharon enjoyed her music, motorcycles and spending time with friends, family and her grandchildren. SURVIVORS: 2 Children: Randall Chad Fischer and Courtney L. Fischer both of Humboldt, Kansas 8 Grandchildren: Rhegan, Macen, Connor, JaLynn, Dominique, Brody, Kalliape & Raven Her Parents: James and Rosa Hansen of Iola, Kansas 2 Brothers: Tim Hansen of Denver, CO and Eric Hansen of North Platte, NE 1 Sister: Cindy Walters of Henderson, NE A number of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at the First Christian Church in Iola.
