Sherry Baker

Sherry Lee Baker, 66, of Hartford, Kansas, formerly of Iola, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at her home. Sherry was born October 2, 1947, in Iola, the daughter of Guy T. and Betty Lou (English) Baker. She grew up in Iola. She has made her home in Topeka, Ottawa, Burlington and Hartford. She worked for Hetlinger's in Emporia. Sherry had been a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Iola and was active in the Allen County 4-H program while growing up. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and going out to eat. SURVIVORS: 5 Sisters: Patricia Howerton of Colony, KS, Nancy Summervill of Humboldt, KS, Janet Knavel of LaHarpe, KS, Sandy Williams of Chanute, KS and Traci Ridge of Iola, KS 1 Aunt: Jerry Mock of St. John, KS 1 Uncle: Bill English of Overland Park, KS 14 Nieces & Nephews She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Baker. FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at Calvary United Methodist Church in Iola, where the family will receive friends prior to the service.
