Sherryl Reiter

Sherryl L. Reiter, age 73, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Anderson County Hospital Residential Living Center in Garnett.

Sherryl Lynn Lueker was born on August 29, 1950, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Rudolph and Esther Helen (Tiemeier) Lueker.

Following high school graduation, she earned her degree from the Kansas State Teachers College, now Emporia State University. She taught elementary school at St John's Catholic School, Greeley, Kansas for a number of years. After teaching she was employed in various positions at the Richmond Care Center in Richmond, Kansas, until becoming her husband's full time caregiver.

She was an active member of The United Methodist Community Church, where she also served as church secretary.

She was united in marriage to Martin Reiter on November 25, 1976, in Richmond, Kansas.

Sherryl was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Martin Reiter in 2001.

She is survived by one nephew, Dennis Katzer of Olathe, Kansas.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service chapel in Garnett, Kansas. A private family inurnment will follow.
