Sonny E. Maley, age 85, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Moran Manor, Moran, Kansas.
Son of Bill Maley and Viola M. (Ryherd) Maley, Sonny was born March 29, 1934. Sonny traveled with a small carnival before he branched out and created his own business as a lawnkeeper.
Sonny attended the Iola Community Baptist Church where he would occasionally sing special music. He enjoyed going to shows at the Bowlus with friends. Every afternoon, he would watch western movies. You could find him at McDonalds in the afternoons enjoying a coffee. Sonny was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan. He loved going to rodeos and watching them on TV. He also enjoyed watching the band concerts on the square in Iola during the summers.
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in honor of Sonny at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Moran Manor in Moran, Kansas. Memorials in honor of Sonny are suggested to A.C.A.R.F. of LaHarpe, Kansas. Condolences may be left online at www.feuerbornfuneral.com .
