Stephen George Henry, 73, peacefully passed away on Monday, September 20th, 2021 while being cared for at the Anderson County Residential Living Center in Garnett, Kansas.
He was born May 9, 1948, in Garnett, Kansas, the son of George Raymond and Madge Lois (Brown) Henry. Steve graduated from Garnett High School with the Class of 1966. He then graduated from Allen County Community College in Iola, Kansas, with an Associates Degree in Business.
He married Donna Alene Gertson in 1975, this union was blessed with two sons, Stephen and Donald.
Steve joined the United States Air Force and served as a Materials Supply Specialist, serving oversees, in places such as Thailand and Germany, retiring in 1989 after 20 years of service as Master Sergeant. He was in the U.S. Air Civil Service for two years and worked for the City of Garnett in the Power Plant from 1994 through 2001.
His hobbies included fishing, attending class reunions reuniting with old friends, watching the Chiefs, Royals, and Jayhawks, and was a sucker for any garage sale. The time he spent with family and friends was his favorite.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Madge Henry; and one sister, Nancy Zweiner.
Steve is survived by his two sons, Stephen Henry and wife Cassandra, of Littleton, Colorado; Donald Henry, of Lawrence, KS; two grandsons, Jacob and Maxon Henry; three brothers, Lee Henry and wife Lois of Garnett, Kansas; Michael Henry and wife Cindy, of Olathe; Richard Henry and husband Jay, of Dallas, TX.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, November 12, 2021, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett, with military honors following.
