Stephen Ray Moyer

Stephen Ray Moyer, 64, formerly of Iola, Kansas, died Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Stormont Vail Healthcare in Topeka. Steve was born April 13, 1952, in Iola, the son of William Edward and Doris Jean (Schuster) Moyer. He grew up in Iola and graduated from Iola High School in 1970. He has always made his home in Kansas, most recently in Topeka where he was a purchasing manager for Blue Dot. Steve is survived by his 8 children: Ryan Moyer & wife, Chantal of Lawrence, KS; Jennifer Hood & husband, Jon of Chanute, KS; Carla Barry & husband, John of Olathe, KS; Jodi Stark & husband, James of Omaha, NE; Derek Moyer & fiancé, Carly Durham of New Strawn, KS; Brooklyn Moyer of Burlington, KS; Ethan Moyer of Olpe, KS and Mathew Moyer of Lebo, KS; 3 siblings, Ramona “Mo” Moyer of Iola, KS; Bobby Moyer & wife, Kim of Yates Center, KS; and Brian Klepper of Kansas City; and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed Moyer and Clifford and Doris Klepper. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Iola. The family will host a celebration of life at 4:00 p.m. at Miller’s On Madison Avenue, 415 E. Madison, in Iola. Memorials are suggested to KU Med Rehabilitation Center and may be left with the funeral home.
