Susan Erhart

Susan Jane Erhart, 61, of Iola, Kansas, died Sunday morning, February 15, 2009, as the result of a traffic accident seven miles east of Yates Center, Kansas. Susie was born November 17, 1947, in Iola, Kansas, the daughter of John L. and Stella F. (Leake) Folk. She grew up in Iola. Susie married Daniel Cox and they divorced. She then married Doug Luedke and they were divorced. She married Clayton Erhart and they made their home at Bush City. He preceded her in death and she returned to Iola to live. Susie worked for Haldex in Iola, for 25 years. She enjoyed camping and fishing. SURVIVORS: 1 Son, John Cox of Iola, Kansas 1 Daughter, Melissa Schenck and husband, Doug, of Cross Plains, Wisconsin 9 Grandchildren: Lacy, Brienna, Shelby, Jeremy and Charlie Schenck, Danielle "D.J.", Ashley, John Jr., and Trevor Cox 4 Brothers: James Leon Folk of Iola, KS, Jerald Folk & wife, Vickie of Gas, KS, Joe Folk & wife, Cindy of Iola, KS, Jesse Folk & wife, Susan of Iola, KS 4 Sisters: Carole Holcomb & husband, Gene of Sun City, Az, Nancy Yancy & husband,Donnie of Iola, KS, Joyce Maley & husband, Jim of Iola, KS, and Linda Knapp & husband, Larry of Mount Hope, WI A Brother-in-law: Bob Shaughnessy of Iola, KS A Sister-in-law: Jerrie Sue Folk of Iola, KS She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jerry Lee Folk and John R. "Tom" Folk and by 2 sisters, Judith K. Folk and Charlene Shaughnessy. Cremation has taken place. VISITATION: 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wed., Feb. 18, 2009, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m., Thurs., Feb. 19, 2009, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Iola. The Rev. Trudy Kenyon Anderson will officiate.
