Taffy Busch

Taffy Mae Busch, 55, of Iola, Kansas, died Monday, March 9, 2015, at the Allen County Regional Hospital in Iola. Taffy was born August 9, 1959, in Neodesha, Kansas, the daughter of Orval "Shorty" and Otheal Evelyn (Bennett) Culbertson. She grew up in the Fredonia area and graduated from Peabody High School. Taffy worked as head baker at Ray's IGA in Fredonia until ill health forced her retirement. She moved to Iola in 2006. SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Nathan Busch & his fiancé, Watonna Parker & her children Taryn Parker and Riley Laymon of Iola, Kansas 1 Daughter: Joy Mae Chilson & husband, Richard of Midlothian, Texas 5 Siblings: Timmy Culbertson of Mound City, Benny Culbertson, Phyllis Doane, Kerry Traphagen & Minnie Culbertson all of Fredonia, Kansas She was preceded in death by her parents, and 4 siblings, Steven Culbertson, Sharon Jansen, Stanley "Joe" Culbertson & Theron Culbertson. Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at the Fredonia City Cemetery at a later date. Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, assisted the family.
