Teresa Kay Cook, 51, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Monday, December 10, 2012, at the Allen County Hospital. Teresa was born June 14, 1961, in Manhattan, Kansas, the daughter of Clayton Justin and Glenna (Waters) LeValley. She attended Seven Dolors Catholic School in Manhattan, graduated from Manhattan High School in 1979, attended Kansas State University and has continued her education as a licensed daycare and pre-school operator. On April 9, 1988, Teresa married Jeff Cook at Piqua, Kansas and they made their home in Iola. She has been involved in daycare and pre-school in Iola for over 20 years. She owned and operated Munch-kin Land now called Kid's Kingdom Over The Rainbow group daycare with pre-school activities. Teresa was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and Altar Society and taught PSR until her cancer diagnosis. She had been active in PTO and coached softball and basketball for her daughter's teams. She was a K-State Wildcat fan who enjoyed golfing, traveling, jet skiing and all outdoor activities. SURVIVORS: Her Husband: Jeff Cook of the home 3 Children: Andrea McConnaughey & husband, Jared of Pittsburg, KS, Nick Cook attending K-State, and Megan Cook attending Emporia State 2 Grandchildren: Jacob & Logan McConnaughey Her Mother: Glenna LeValley of Olathe, KS 9 Siblings: Mike LeValley & wife, Shelly and Greg LeValley & wife, Kathy all of Manhattan, KS, Patrick LeValley of Toronto, Canada, Mark LeValley & wife, Tina of Salina, KS, Neil LeValley & wife, Stacey, Denise LeValley, Mary Wargin and Maggie Collins & husband, Kevin all of Olathe, KS, and Janel Johnson of Corpus Christi, TX 24 Nieces & Nephews and 3 Great Nieces & Great Nephews on the LeValley side of the family Her Mother-In-Law: Ruby L. Cook of Iola, KS 8 Brother & Sister-In Laws: Larry Robertson & wife, Sherri, Pam Shrum, Joe Robertson, Kelly Robertson & wife, Patty, Cindy Kilbourn & husband, Larry, Randy Cook & wife, Gail, Carla Capper & husband, Brent, and Robert Cook & wife, Karrie Numerous Nieces & Nephews on the Cook side of the family She was preceded in death by her father, Clayton LeValley, father-in-law, Carl Cook, brother-in-law, Gary Cook and nephew, Jack LeValley. PARISH ROSARY: 7:00 p.m., Fri., Dec. 14, 2012, at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola. VISITATION: Following the rosary at St. John's Parish Center FUNERAL MASS: 10:30 a.m., Sat., Dec. 15, 2012, at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola.
