Terry Tush, age 59, of Spokane Valley, Washington passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at his home concluding his battle with cancer.
Terry was the second of four boys born to George and Jacquelyn (Sutton) Tush. He was born on August 5, 1960, at Garnett, Kansas. Terry attended Irving Grade School through the 5th grade, 6th grade in Welda, Kansas, 7th and 8th at Kincaid. He graduated from Crest High School in Colony with the class of 1978. Following high school, he attended the Wichita Automotive School, graduating in 1979. Terry began working as a service manager at the Chevrolet dealerships in Ottawa, Kansas and Chanute, Kansas. In 1989 Terry moved to Spokane, Washington, where he worked at a shop restoring classic cars. He then owned and operated CompuTune in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho for several years. Terry has spent the last several years working for his friend, Ron, at Ron’s Hot Rod and Customs in Spokane. Terry was also a crew member of the Lady Elaine drag racing team. Terry loved working on cars and working with the drag racing team was his passion, second only to his family.
Even though he was a fan of the Gonzaga Bulldogs, he was an avid fan of the KU Jayhawks and Kansas City Chiefs.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, George Tush Jr. in 2008; brother, David Tush in 2017; a nephew, Ronald Tush Jr.; and his beloved dog, Mojo.
Terry is survived by his wife, Loretta of the home; step-son, Jon Cael and wife, Tara; step-daughter, Laura Cael; three grandchildren, Alexcia, Alexzander and Caden; mother, Jacquelyn Hill and husband, Jim; two brothers, Ronald and Michael Tush; step-brother, Myron Hill; and five nieces, Casey and Kathy Tush, Paige Hall, Penelope and Georgia Tush.
Memorial services for Terry will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, 219 S. Oak, Garnett, Kansas. The family will greet friends following the service. A private family inurnment will follow at a later date.
