Thelma Alice (Pulliam) Carnahan, 80, of Iola passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at Windsor Place in Iola. She was born September 22, 1936 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Wallace E. and Dorothy (Sanders) Pulliam. She grew up in Fort Scott and later moved to Iola. She worked as a dietician in the public school system. She was proud to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Thelma is survived by two sons, Charles Randy Carnahan, and Stephen Clay Carnahan, grandchildren; Sheena, Nicole, Crystal, Josh, Jeremy, and Rusty, ten great grandchildren, a brother, Carl Pulliam, nephews; Rusty, Kyle, Robert, and Earl, and a niece, Carolyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son John, and by her brothers Frankie, Melvin, Donnie, Russell, and Lawrence. A graveside service with inurnment will take place Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Marion Cemetery (Paint Creek) near Redfield, Kansas.
