Thelma G. Morrow, 78, of LaHarpe, Kansas, died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at her home after an extended illness. Thelma was born April 1, 1932 in rural Redfield, Kansas the daughter of Ernest Benton and Emma C. (Green) Brown. She grew up in LaHarpe and graduated from Elsmore High School where she attended her senior year. She married LG Garrison and they lived in the Allen County area before they were divorced. She then married Harold W. Galemore and they made their home in Yates Center. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1965. She married Kenneth Morrow and they made their home in Rosalia, Kansas. They divorced and she moved to LaHarpe where she has lived since 1971. Thelma worked at numerous jobs during her life including at Haldex and running a cafe at the sale barn in Gas City. She was a member of the Reachout Christian Church in Chanute. SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Gary Garrison of Colorado Springs, CO and Joe Garrison of Carlyle, KS 3 Daughters: Debra Schommer and Donna Schommer both of Chanute,KS and Myrna Castle of Humboldt, KS 1 Sister: Elizabeth Potts of Enterprise, AL 15 Grandchildren & 24 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Warren Lee Galemore, and infant great-grandson, Jeremiah McGinnes, a brother, George Brown and 3 sisters, Isobelle Herring, Kathleen Amos and Martha Greathouse. VISITATION: 7:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010 at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Pastor Rusty Newman will officiate. BURIAL: Kern Cemetery southeast of Humboldt, KS MEMORIAL: The Thelma G. Morrow Memorial Fund Memorial gifts may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
