Theola Heath, age 74, passed away August 13, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Iola, Kansas.
Theola was born to William DeWalt and Bernece (Wilkinson) Merrill on May 23, 1946 in Blue Rapids, Kansas. Over the years, Theola worked various jobs, her favorite being a security guard.
Theola could be found playing bingo in her spare time. She loved to read and watch western movies and shows. She was an avid collector of skunks and aliens. Family was very important to her. She spent the last few years really growing her faith and becoming closer to God. Near the end of her life, she received salvation.
Theola was preceded in death by her parents; son, Donald Gene Heath Jr.; granddaughters, Sharla Pittman and Crystal Dawn Hadden; siblings, Myrna Johanson, Karen Merrill, Bill DeWalt, Lynn Ann Stegeman, Barbara Magehey, and Mark DeWalt.
Theola was survived by daughter, Ruth Heath Lamb; significant other, Ray Overton; four grandchildren, Racheal Harp, David Johnson, Marchelle Dokes, and Tiffany Dokes; great-grandchildren, Brandon Schultz, Brent Schultz, Bradlee Schultz, Chloe Johnson, and Ainsley Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
