Toby D. Yoder

Toby Yoder, age 96, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the Anderson County Long Term Care Facility, in Garnett. He was born on April 17, 1913, at Thomas, Oklahoma, the son of David J. Yoder and Eliza Yoder. Toby was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Toby married Barbara Beachy on October 8, 1936 at Garnett, Kansas. They lived in matrimony for 73 years, until Barbara's passing on March 26, 2010. He is survived by one son and three daughters: Irene and Earl Wingard of Thomas, Oklahoma; David T. and Sylvia Yoder; Verna and Larry Keim; Dorothy and Ivan Keim; son-in-law, Andy Miller, all of Garnett, Kansas; 35 Grandchildren; 113 Great Grandchildren; and two Great Great Grandchildren. Toby was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Susan Miller; two sisters, Melinda Beachy and Fannie Yoder; three brothers, Moses Yoder, John Yoder, and Harvey Yoder; one grandchild, and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the residence of LaVern Keim, 29947 NW Kentucky Rd, Garnett, Kansas; burial following in the Amish Cemetery.
