Travis Simpson, age 32, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012, at Bolivar, Missouri. He was born on February 5, 1980, in Paola, Kansas, the son of Michael and Pamela (Whalen) Simpson. He graduated from Prairie View High School in 1998. He entered Army in 1999, and completed his Basic Training. Travis was stationed at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Following his time in the service Travis lived in Virginia for a year, returning to Kansas and attending Sterling College. He later attended Emporia State University and earned his Master's Degree. He then moved to New Mexico and worked for his father. In August 2012 Travis moved to Bolivar, Missouri where he worked in inventory/loss control at Wal-Mart. Travis enjoyed spending time on Facebook and socializing with his friends, but his greatest joy was his family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Travis is survived by his father, Mike Simpson and wife Maribel of El Paso, Texas; his mother, Pam Breedlove and fianc Jeff Stults of LaCygne, Kansas; brother Tyler Breedlove of Pittsburg, Kansas; sisters Kassandra Simpson of El Paso, Texas; Karina Simpson of El Paso, Texas; former stepfather Gary Breedlove of Parker, Kansas; numerous aunts uncles and cousins. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. Inurnment will follow in the Garnett Cemetery in Garnett, Kansas. Family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
