Vance Raney

Vance Mark Raney, 59, of Wichita, Kansas, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014, in Wichita. Vance was born December 3, 1954, in Iola, Kansas, the son of V.M. "Bud" and Phyllis C. ( Butler ) Raney. He graduated from Iola High School in 1972 and then Iola Junior College. Vance worked at Gates Rubber Company for fifteen years before becoming disabled and moving to Wichita. SURVIVORS: 1 Brother; Victor Raney and his wife Stonna of Yates Center 3 Sisters; Diana Modlin and husband Lester of Bushong, Marilyn Dozier of Iola, and Marsha Smith and husband Ray of Iola. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Marvin Dozier. Cremation has taken place and private memorial services will be held at a later date.
