Verna Mae Burkholder

Verna Mae Burkholder, 62, Goshen, Indiana died on March 8, 2010 at her home. She had been ill almost three weeks. She was born on May 13, 1947 in Newton County, Indiana to the late Calvin C. and Fannie (Mast) Yoder. On June 26, 1969, she married LaVern D. Burkholder, Sr. in Nappanee, Indiana. Her husband LaVern Burkholder survives along with a daughter, Jolene Yoder and husband James of Nappanee, Indiana; three sons, Steve Burkholder, Gary Burkholder, and LaVern Burkholder Jr., all of Garnett, Kansas; Seven grandchildren; four sisters, Edna Herz and husband John of Bradford, Tennessee; Sarah Chupp and husband Delbert, Erma Troyer and husband Gary , both of Millersburg, Indiana; Irene Slabaugh and husband Lisle of Bremen, Indiana; eight brothers, Henry Yoder and wife Jeannette of Millersburg, Indiana; Chris Yoder and wife Nancy of Middlebury, Indiana; Raymond Yoder and wife Waneta of Dallas, Texas; Lester Yoder and wife Judy of Goshen, Indiana; Ervin Yoder of Bristol, Indiana; Calvin Yoder Jr. and wife Denise of Syracuse, Indiana; Weldon Yoder and wife Elnora of Nappanee, Indiana, and Fred Yoder and wife Dawn of Wolcottville, Indiana.
