Victoria Johnson

Victoria Ruth Johnson, 63, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015, at her home. Vickie was born November 22, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Charles T. and Donna Lou (Page) Dietrich. The family moved to the Iola area in 1956 from Claremore, Oklahoma. She attended Carlyle School, graduated from Iola High School in 1970 and attended Allen County Community College. On February 18, 1973, Vickie married Samuel D. Johnson at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola. They have always made their home in Iola. She was a stay-at-home mom for 22 years and also had a daycare in her home. She worked at Inter-Collegiate Press and retired from Herff-Jones in Iola. Vickie enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and helping others. SURVIVORS: Her Husband: Samuel Johnson of the home 1 Sister: Marsha Lord and husband, John of Iola, KS Children: Jason Johnson & wife, Cly of Paola, KS, Jarrid Johnson & wife, Candace of Iola, KS, Kristin Baca & husband, Gabriel of Austin, TX, Lisa England of Chilhowee, MO, Samuel Johnson, Jr. & wife, Melissa of Warrensburg, MO and daughter-in-law Lisa Johnson of Pittsburg, KS Nephews: Ryan Lord & wife, Emily of Kansas City, KS, and Charles Eric Lord & wife, Jessica and son Evret Lord of Sheffield, England Grandchildren: Austin Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Alexis Johnson, Ashton Johnson, Amber Johnson, Jacque England, Glenna England, Brenda England, Samuel Johnson III & wife, Nicolle, Lindsay Johnson, Cayla Johnson, Morgan McCartney, Casey McCartney and Larry McCartney Great Grandchildren: Jamie England, Jack England, Jaylinn England, Aroura England, Kristopher England, Izabella England, Emma Johnson, Anderson Johnson and Stormy Johnson She was preceded in death by her parents. Cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held later.
