Victoria L. Tebo, age 76, of Iola, Kansas, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Aunt, was called to her eternal resting place on April 12, 2020, while at home surrounded by loved ones.
She entered this world on June 13, 1943, in Sioux City, Iowa. Victoria belonged to the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. She loved animals, enjoyed gardening, fishing and the outdoors. Her passion for cooking was always a family favorite. Being "the Boss" was her most important job in life.
In 1960, she met and married Roger R. Stroud in Iowa. They later divorced. From their union came 6 children. Rodney Stroud (LaDonna) of Humboldt Kansas: Sharon Barnhart (Greg) of Chanute, Kansas: Marie Stroud of Iola, Kansas: Denise Snavely (James) of Iola, Kansas: Laura McCall of Overland Park, Kansas. In 1972, she wed Vernon L. Van Houten also from Iowa, and had two children: Ann Johnson (Brandon) of Pleasanton, Kansas; and Vernon Van Houten (Lisa) of Alvin, Texas. She also had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Ann Wagner.
The family will be having a private memorial and burial on Thursday, April 16, 2020. Victoria's final resting place will be at LaHarpe Cemetery in LaHarpe, Kansas.
