Virginia Lee "Nanny" Sandlin, 68, of Gas, Kansas, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita. Virginia was born April 13, 1944, at Ft. Myers, Florida, the daughter of Wilbur Vernon and Fleta Mae (Baucom) Gee. She grew up in Florida and lived several years in Venezuela. On July 14, 1965, Virginia married Dale D. Sandlin in Brownsville, Texas and they made their home in Iola. She worked for Tramec and later Microtronics before retiring in 2006. She enjoyed antique shopping and her grandkids. SURVIVORS: Husband: Dale Sandlin of the home 1 Son: Louis Sandlin & wife, Sherry of Iola, KS 2 Daughters: Virginia K. Wools & husband, Tim of Iola, KS, and Gina Totman & husband, Jeff of Osage City, KS 1 Sister-In-Law: Kay Croghan & husband, Jack of Iola, KS 7 Grandchildren: Ashley Luttrell & husband Chance, Shane Sandlin, Kayla Westerman & husband Matt, Kelci Owens and fiance' John Sigg, Karley Wools, Keshia Thompson & husband Kenny and Kyler Umbarger 7 Great Grandchildren: Aubrey, Zoey & Liam Luttrell, Anna, Gracie & Karter Westerman and Quintin Thompson Special nieces & nephews: Jennifer Boll, Monica Gee, Jason Gee, Mike Croghan & Angie Ryan She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard Allen Gee. VISITATION: 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Cremation will follow visitation with inurnment at a later date in Highland Cemetery in Iola. MEMORIAL: Fee's Park in Gas City Memorials may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
