Walter J. Stotler, Sr., age 85, of Moran, Kansas, passed away Friday, June 14, 2019, in Moran, Kansas. Walt was born January 14, 1934, in Iola, Kansas, to Dewey H. Stotler and Sarah (Gashey) Stotler. Walt and Iva J. Zornes were married on September 9, 1951, in Iola, Kansas. Walt and Iva lived in Colony, Kansas, until moving to Moran in 1976. Walt was a farmer and he owned businesses in Colony, Humboldt, and Moran. Walt enjoyed auctions – he could load a truck like no one else. He also enjoyed scrapping and fishing. Walt's life consisted of raising his kids, working, and making his wife happy. Walt was preceded in death by his wife, Iva; his parents; and two daughters, Joyce Howell and Eula McKee. Walt is survived by one daughter, Annetta Reed and husband, Larry, Moran, Kansas; two sons, Walter Stotler, Jr. and wife, Cathy, Emporia, Kansas, and Dewey Stotler and wife, Kathy, Moran, Kansas; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; one sister, Eula Wilson, Hartford, Kansas; and three brothers, Floyd Stotler, Wichita, Kansas, Dewey H. Stotler, Jr., Uniontown, Kansas, and Andrew Stotler and wife, Angie, El Dorado, Kansas. A visitation for Walt will be Monday, June 17, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Moran Cemetery, Moran, Kansaas.
