Wayne Hunt, age 78, of Forum, Arkansas, a born again, saved by grace Christian and U. S. veteran died August 28, 2015 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. He was born September 21, 1936 in a three room home on a one hundred acre sandy land peanut farm near Rucker, Texas to Thomas Rae and Marie Louise Wehlamann Hunt. He was a United States Army veteran and a member of Huntsville Lodge #364, Free and Accepted Masons. He loved visiting with people. He was always using humor and laughs to build friendships with new people. He always worked hard and started plowing with a mule when he was twelve years old. He worked the last twenty-two years for George's Gas Company. He most enjoyed thirty-five years working with First Baptist Church of Huntsville bringing children to services, youth sponsor and going on over twenty-five mission trips to help spread the gospel to children, youth and adults all over this country. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Dorothy and beloved grandson, Braden Rae. Survivors include: his wife, Anna Lee Smethers Hunt of the home; five children, Connie Adelhardt and husband, Dick of Kingman, Kansas, Natasha Means and husband, Dan of Valley Center, Kansas, Dusty Hunt and wife, Dee of Kincaid, Kansas, Kevin Hunt of Tulsa, Oklahoma and David Hunt and wife, Ashley of Jay, Oklahoma; three brothers, Lynn Dale Hunt and wife, Shirley of Gilmer, Texas, Carl Hunt and wife, Donna and James Hunt, all of Huntsville, Arkansas; one sister, Annette Vanhook of Huntsville, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Megan, Jessica, Tia, Heston, Dallie and Sawyer; one great-grandchild, Navia Rae and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. Thursday, September 3, at the First Baptist Church in Huntsville with Dustin Sams, Brad Owens and The Reverend Jack McCarty officiating under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. to 7:00 P. M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Missions/Youth Fund, Post Office Box 508, Huntsville, Arkansas 72740-0508. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015, in the Kincaid Cemetery in Kincaid, Kansas. Local services are being held by Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Garnett, Kansas.
