William Earl (Bill) Winters, age 84, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away at his home on April 24, 2023. Bill was born November 1, 1938, in Wichita, Kansas, to William Easley Winters and Mary M. (Hardesty) Winters.
Bill graduated in 1956 from North High School, Wichita, Kansas. He served in the United States Navy. Bill and Shirley (Travis) Sinn were married October 3, 1969, in Derby, Kansas.
Bill worked as an aeronautics supervisor for Boeing Aircraft, Wichita, Kansas.
Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He liked to canoe and ride motorcycles. Bill and Shirley had fun dancing, barbecuing, and being on their pontoon boat.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; step-daughter, Kathy Flory; sister, Kay Mitchell; and brother-in-law, Phil Mitchell.
Bill is survived by his wife, Shirley, of the home; children, Windy (Craig) Curtis; Tammy (Mike) Tannehill; Debra (Terry) O'Connor, Tommy Sinn; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation will take place and no services are planned.
Memorials are suggested to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
