Wilma Miller Fry, age 96, of Garnett, Kansas, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at her home. Wilma was born on March 11, 1913 in Partridge, Kansas, the daughter of Eli Miller and Sarah (Troyer) Miller. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. On December 11, 1930, Wilma married Sam B. Miller in Hutchinson, Kansas, by Jacob H. Miller. To this union, seven children were born, four daughters and three sons. Wilma is survived by four daughters, Ida Yoder of Garnett, Kansas; Lydia and husband Lloyd Beachy of Carlton, Oregon; Katie and husband Lester Yoder of Garnett, Kansas; Sylvia and husband David T. Yoder of Garnett, Kansas; one son, Andy Miller of Garnett, Kansas; 90 grandchildren; 246 great grandchildren; 48 great great grandchildren. Her husband, Sam B. Miller died on February 14, 1969, at the age of 60. Wilma married Willie D. Fry on September 22, 1986. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1991. Wilma was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Melvin Miller and Alvin Miller; a set of twin daughters that were stillborn; son-in-law Ira Yoder; daughters-in-law Fanny (Schrock) Miller and Susan (Yoder) Miller; eight sisters; one brother; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM, Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the Raymond Yoder residence, 18359 NW 1800 Road, Garnett, Kansas 66032. Burial will follow in the Amish Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the Raymond Yoder residence from 6:00 - 7:30 PM, Friday evening with a Wake Service to follow at 7:30.
