Zander “Z-man” Nold Porter, age 9, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018, at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on April 6, 2009, at Rochester, Minnesota. Zander is the son of Curt and Jamie (Bush) Porter. He was a student at Life Skills School in Osawatomie, Kansas. Zander enjoyed music, and he was Mickey Mouse’s biggest fan, constantly watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He spent countless hours bouncing on the trampoline and playing in the ball pit in his playroom that was made possible by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He also loved to play with his siblings and his animals. Zander never had a bad day; he was constantly smiling, laughing and loving life. He could wrap anyone around his finger. He brought joy, love and happiness to so many. Zander was preceded in death by his grandfather, Carlin Bush on December 20, 2017. He is survived by his parents, Curt and Jamie Porter; sister, Emma Porter; brothers, Ryland Porter, Walker Porter, Isaak Porter, and Noah Porter; grandparents, Ross and Euleta Porter, all of Garnett; grandmother, Glenda Bush of St. Joseph, Missouri; great grandparents, Harold and Mary Nold of Savannah, Missouri; his Godparents, David and Anne Elliott, Hendersonville, Tennessee; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and other family as well as his school mamas and school family. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, August 10, 2018, at the Garnett Church of the Nazarene, 258 Park Road, Garnett, Kansas 66032. Burial will follow at the Pleasant View Glenloch Cemetery, west of Garnett. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday evening at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett.
