Zelma Tasche

Zelma Maxine "Jeri" Tasche, 86, died Fri., Feb. 26, 2016, at Diversicare of Chanute. Jeri was born Aug. 23, 1929, at Mound City, KS, one of 10 children born to Leonard Franklin and Addie Blanche (Osborne) Murrow. She grew up in the Blue Mound and Mound City areas. She has made her home in Iola most of her adult life except for a few years when she lived in Chanute. Her memberships include Community Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary both in Iola. Survivors include her daughter, Sheryl Koester and husband, Gene of Chanute, KS, 3 grandsons, Bill Koester and wife, Robyn of Wellsville, KS, Shawn Koester and wife, Denise and Clinton Koester all of Chanute, KS and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 9 siblings. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tues., March 1, 2016, at the Waugh-Yokum and Friskel Chapel in Iola. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
